Last April at FIRA Open Day, major tractor manufacturers revealed their R&D and business strategy turn are about bringing value to the farmers. Yesterday, farmers designed the robot of their dream.
According to them, fully autonomous machines are not an end goal: it is important to give value back to the farmers, to bring them a real added value. And this can be done by adding autonomous functionalities to their current tractors.
Moreover, we are seeing the massive arrival of fully autonomous robots that can move around the farm on their own while performing one or more automated tasks.
Which solution represents the best alternative for farmers? What can they expect from these two types of solutions?
